These Terms of Sale and Website Use (“Terms”) form the contract between you and EDASA SCIENTIFIC Società a Responsabilità Limitata Semplificata (“EDASA SCIENTIFIC S.r.l.s.”, “EDASA”, “we”, “us”), Via Stingi, 37, 66050 San Salvo (CH), Italy, VAT / Codice fiscale 02456060694, REA CH 180360, email info@EDASAscientific.com, telephone +39 334 85 72 542. They apply to every order you place with us and to your use of this website.
The English text is the only binding version of these Terms and the language of the contract between us. These Terms and any order accepted under them are governed by the laws of Italy, and the courts of Italy have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory forum that applies to you.

1. Who may buy
Our catalog is offered to professional and institutional buyers only: research laboratories, companies, universities, and qualified researchers acting in a professional capacity. You must be at least 18 years old. We do not sell to consumers for household use. Before we accept an order or open an account, we may ask you for organisation details, an end-use confirmation, or other due-diligence information, and we may decline to proceed if that information is not provided.
2. Research use only
All products are sold strictly for laboratory research and development. They are not intended for food, drug, household, cosmetic, agricultural, diagnostic, or therapeutic use in humans or animals, and they are not medical devices. By registering an account or placing an order, you confirm that you will use our products only for lawful research and development, and that you have the facilities, trained personnel, and permits required to receive and handle them safely.
3. Catalog and quotes
Prices, pack sizes, purity, and stock shown on this website are an invitation to treat, not a binding offer. An order becomes binding only when we accept it, by order confirmation or by dispatch. We may correct obvious pricing or catalog errors at any time before acceptance.
Custom synthesis, medicinal chemistry and FTE work, screening libraries, and chemical sourcing are quoted separately and may be subject to additional written terms agreed for that project.
4. Orders and payment
We accept the following payment methods, subject to any credit checks we reasonably consider necessary:
- Visa, Mastercard, and American Express
- Bank wire transfer
- Purchase order, where we have agreed account terms with your organisation
Catalog prices apply as displayed, in the currency shown on the site. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, taxes, duties, customs brokerage, and freight are payable by you. Title and risk in the goods pass to you on handover to the carrier at our warehouse, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
5. Shipping
We dispatch from our warehouse in San Salvo, Italy, using FedEx, UPS, or DHL, or another carrier we nominate for the shipment. Transit times quoted on the site or by our team are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates.
Some products are hazardous or otherwise regulated. Packing, labelling, and transport of those items follow the Safety Data Sheet and the carrier’s dangerous-goods rules, which may affect the available pack sizes, routes, and lead times. We may split, delay, or refuse a shipment where documentation, weather, carrier rules, or export screening require it.
6. Export and sanctions
We fulfil orders worldwide, except where a shipment would breach EU, United Nations, or OFAC sanctions, or where it would fail our export-control, dual-use, or chemical-weapon precursor screening. We do not publish a country blocklist, and screening outcomes may change over time. We may request end-use and end-user statements, and we may cancel an order at any stage if screening is not satisfied.
You are responsible for import licences and permits, for compliance with the chemical, customs, and safety law of the destination country, and for any onward transfer or re-export of the goods.
7. Safety, SDS, and CoA
You must read the Safety Data Sheet before handling a product and follow it, including its storage, handling, personal-protection, and disposal guidance. A Certificate of Analysis documents the batch as supplied; it is not a warranty that the material is fit for a particular experiment, process, or application, or that it meets any specification we have not agreed with you in writing.
You are responsible for waste disposal and for the acts of anyone who handles the goods after delivery, including colleagues, collaborators, and third parties to whom you transfer the material.
8. Returns
Research chemicals are not returnable for change of mind. We will consider a return or replacement only for a documented defect, a wrong item, or carrier damage, and only where you contact us for written approval before sending anything back. Please raise such a claim promptly after delivery, with your order reference and supporting photographs or analytical data.
Opened, partly used, refrigerated, and temperature-sensitive packs are not returnable unless the defect is attributable to us and we approve the return in writing. Approved returns must follow our written instructions, including any dangerous-goods packing and documentation requirements.
9. Intellectual property and website use
Catalog text, structure depictions, trademarks, and all other materials on this website belong to EDASA or to its licensors. You may browse the site and place orders for your organisation’s internal research and development purchasing. You may not scrape, republish, or resell the catalog, or access the site by unauthorised automated means, beyond ordinary search-engine indexing.
Structures, enquiries, and feedback you send us may be used to respond to your request. Nothing on this site or in these Terms grants you any licence to our reagents, processes, or know-how.
10. Liability
Products are supplied as described in the catalog and in the Certificate of Analysis for the dispatched batch. We are not liable for misuse of our products, for inadequate facilities or handling, or for the results of experiments you run. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude indirect, incidental, special, and consequential loss, including lost research time, lost data, and lost profit.
Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from an order is limited to the amount you paid us for the affected products on that order. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Italian law, including liability for fraud or wilful misconduct.
11. Accounts
Cart, checkout, and order history require a registered account. You must give accurate organisation and contact details, keep them up to date, keep your login credentials confidential, and confirm research use only when you register. You are responsible for orders placed through your account.
We may refuse, suspend, or deactivate an account where we reasonably believe that these Terms, export-control rules, or applicable law would otherwise be breached, and we may close accounts that are unused or that we are required to close.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date shown at the top of this page is the effective date of the current version. If you place an order after a change, the version then published applies to that order. For an open custom-synthesis quotation, the version in force when we accepted the quotation continues to apply unless we both agree otherwise in writing.
